Comelec-CGC
Take French leadership in the distribution of audiovisual equipment in hospitals.
COMELEC CGC ACQUIRED BY MNH GROUP
Employing 3,800 people, the mutual group MNH has primarily grown through external means. In 2016, it generated €1.1 billion in revenue. Bpifrance introduced Marie-Noelle Guionnet, CEO of COMELEC CGC, to the Positive Capital team.
With €15 million in revenues, Comelec is a French leader in supplying TV and electronic equipment to the hospitality sector (hospitals, clinics, and hotels). Positive Capital assisted the founding shareholders in restructuring the capital and seeking financing.
The audiovisual equipment supplier is now under MNH control through debt refinancing and a capital increase. Today, the hotel division has joined Hoist Group, while the hospitals and clinics division has joined the MNH group.
As a leading distributor of audiovisual materials in hospitals and hotels, Comelec, hindered in its development by debt, sought a solution for backing.
Active in various sectors—including insurance (MNH), banking (Banque Française Mutualiste), media (Le Journal du Médecin, Le Journal du Pharmacien, Hospimedia), and health services (Keldoc, Comelec)—MNH Group aims to leverage synergies from this operation through the pooling of customer databases and cost reduction.
